Celebrating Christmas and 28 years of work in the U.S. of the LBV!
On Sunday, December 7th, 2014, the Legion of Good Will held its Annual Gathering of Friends Event: “Rejoicing in the Christmas Spirit.” Friends and volunteers celebrated, enjoyed delicious food, and watched live performances at the Sport Club Portuguese, in Newark, NJ. All proceeds from the event went to the Legion of Good Will’s Annual Hunger Relief Campaign ensuring that many more homeless and vulnerable families receive food baskets this holiday season.
Another highlight of the day was the Solidarity Merit Award ceremony. Rick Eustáquio was awarded the 2014 volunteer of the year, representing the dedication and efforts of all volunteers who make possible the work of the LBV’s Community Center in Newark, NJ.
